Samurai celebrate a milestone that few brands in the denim industry have managed to achieve. For their 25th year anniversary, the Osaka-based brand have turned to the purest form of Indigo that puts Japan's finest denim craftsmanship on a pedestal. The cotton yarns used to weave the fabric of these jeans are hank-dyed with natural indigo, by ageing craftsmen in Tokushima, Japan. With hank dyeing, the yarns are dipped repeatedly by hand until the deep blue color of the natural indigo has settled into the cotton. 

The S500AX silhouette is based off the previously released S5000VX, which is actually described as a Middle Straight. The cut has been adjusted to give a slightly narrower leg opening, but this is a fit we would be comfortable describing as right in between a Regular Straight and a Slim Straight pair. A comfortable top block, with a relaxed fitting leg, with a slight taper from the knee down to the hem.
