SDA are back with their latest "Aishibuzome" series featuring beautiful hues as a result of two quintessentially and naturally occurring Japanese dyes.

A first for the brand, SDA put dyeing craftsmanship on a pedestal by applying Natural Indigo and Kakishibu into the DNA of each item from this stellar collection. The foundation of each fabric is the initial Indigo dye process that they undergo, prior to being overdyed multiple times in order to achieve the deep hues in the garment. This entire tedious process is done by hand, to ensure the perfect amount of dye penetration and balance of color in the yarns. In addition, the delicacy of a natural Kakishibu dye can be realized upon contact with sunlight, darkening the brown color hue of the garment over time.

In the modern setting, these types of dyes have gained popularity as both a natural and sustainable alternative to synthetic dyes in the fashion industry. In addition to its dyeing properties, Kakishibu also has water-repelling and anti-bacterial properties, making it useful for a variety of applications.
