Did we hear you say you're in the market for a new winter coat this season? Allow us to introduce you to not only the warmest, but most functional winter jacket we've every seen - bold statement, but we're not even kidding. The fine folks at Zanter Japan have been in business for over 60 years, and team up with our friends at Burgus Plus to piece together this epic winter jacket.

With no shortage of storage, Zanter pack in pockets wherever they can to maximize the functionality. Featuring a recently developed technology in the fibre & yarn space in Japan known as 'MOFF', the mesh material is sewn into the top half of the back of the jacket in order to regulate bacteria & odor. And then there is the warmth factor. This jacket is insanely warm, something you will notice as soon as you put it on. But don't just take our word for it, there is a quantifying number that suggests the number of cubic inches that one ounce of down feather occupies, and it is known as Fill Power. The Fill Power of this jacket is at 800, considered the ceiling for fill power of a down jacket.

Zanter is heralded as the first brand to produce Down wear in Japan. The first pieces were worn in 1956 by members of the Manslu Expedition Corps as well as the Antarctic Observation Corps. Zanter has continued to produce the highest quality Japanese Down wear by selecting only the finest materials and using well honed production methods.

Locally sourced high quality down feathers are extremely difficult to come by, at the most only 10g can be found on the chest area of a suitable Waterfowl. The quality of feathers is also greatly affected by breeding method, environment and feed during infancy. These carefully selected feathers then go through a thorough process of washing, drying, dehydration, sterilization and dust removal which results in Down that not only has excellent heat retention properties, but is also durable and sanitary.
