Paying homage to Norway & Sweden on the latest CHUP's, the traditional hand knitted sweater patterns common to these Nordic nations are represented. GENSER being a Norwegian word for "sweater", the socks are inspired by the use of strong colors, mostly notably red, black & dark browns.
A blended mix of cotton & acrylic yarn, recycled cotton yarn, and combed cotton yarn, these socks use what is known as Dralon cotton. Cotton alone tends to yield a pair of socks that will stiffen and become rougher with multiple wear & washes.
Acrylic is chosen to blend as it is a good fibre to help maintain softness of the fabric over time. Dralon cotton has multiple properties making it an ideal blend for socks, not limited to but including, it is hypo-allergenic, easy to clean, quick to dry and odor repellent.
The recycled cotton yarns used in the production of CHUP socks are composed of 100% fallen virgin cotton, or unused fiber from the yarn-spinning process.
Finally, combed cotton is opted for in the development pro cess for its lack of impurities, its durability being greater than standard cotton and the fact that they are made by treating the cotton fibers prior to the yarn spinning process.
