These jeans are in a class of their own. Coming in at a competitive price for premium heavy weight Selvedge denim that is often sold for much more for comparable jeans. The fabric is custom produced for Japan Blue by the Collect Mill in Kojima, and the exceptionally slubby and hairy denim is full of character and will yield beautiful fading patterns with extended wear. Woven on a vintage shuttle loom and rope dyed in pure indigo, these jeans were made to fade.
With a brand new design element integrated into this new model that released in the Summer of 2014, the new Japan Blue Pocket Stitch Selvedge jeans are cool and classic. Taking the letters J and B from the brand name, the Japan Blue designers came up with a unique stitched arc style for the back pockets of these jeans. Based on the original and best selling JB pair, the JB0412, the jeans fit exactly as the JB0401 do, the only obvious difference is the newly developed Japan Blue Stitch logo on both back pockets.
A slightly more relaxed cut then the JB0212, the Slim Tapered nature of these will taper starting from the thigh and will go all the way down to the leg opening. Compared to the JB0212, there is more room in the thigh and rise as it is a middle rise.
Featuring details that we have come to expect, like the hidden selvedge coin pocket and rope dyed indigo fabric, while also retaining special unique details like gold antique rivets and a waistband leather patch made exclusively for the Japan Blue brand by the Tanner Goods people from Portland, Oregan.
