Putting the texture on a pedestal, the face of this fabric is spectacular, but the real party is on the reverse side of the latest proprietary development from Japan's "Best Knitwear". Utilizing varying yarns to weave the face & underside, the dual-layer structure combines an undulating vertical rib knit outer with a plush random drop-needle rib knit inner for a combination that is guaranteed to keep you both comfy & adequately insulated. The innovative construction yields a thick, fluffy fabric that will gain character with extended wear.

Recreated from an original European Military vintage piece dating back to the 1960s, the painstaking process of recreating this garment reproduces the original vintage down to the smallest details. A vintage inspired weft rib knit with meticulous construction detail is applied to the cuffs and collar, while the rounded overlock hem on the torso all follows details from the original vintage garment. To complete the aesthetic, a Union Special 4-needle flat seamer is used to construct the garment in entirely 100% cotton construction thread.

Produced in Wakayama as always, Okayama's denim equivalent for cotton jersey tees & sweats, the proprietary "Double Face" fabric is both exceptionally warm and breathable. The weave will retain great structure even after extended wear. The double face nature of this fabric tells the core of the story, expertly sewn together by the aging craftsman in Wakayama in the case of Loop & Weft's production. Featuring a dropped back shoulder seam construction, this design element helps retain the classic aesthetics of the vintage motif while amplifying the ergonomics of this piece.
