First popularized in the 1960s~1970s, SDA pay homage to Lee's 100-J Westerner Jacket with a few additional tweaks to the classic setup. Featuring a unique curved pocket design, SDA's rayon tab makes an appearance on the lefthand chest pocket. Lee were also the first to use Left-Hand Twill fabrics as a step away from conventional Right-Hand Twill denim. Wearers were quick to note that the fading properties were much different to Right-Hand Twill fabrics, with the end results typically being fuzzy in appearance and vertically pronounced. Additionally, Left-Hand Twill denim is renowned as a softer hand-feel fabric than conventional Right-Hand twill denim.
