An OD+JB Collaboration | The 18oz. "Shinkai Wine Weft" Selvedge Jeans

Continuing the colored weft party we kicked off with Japan Blue, we are stoked to bring back a banger from back in the day. The OG "Wine Weft" Jeans were part of the legacy Slub series with JB we released in 2018. Originally conceived over an OD dinner with drinks, the Bordeaux color of the weft is a hue that we have seldom played with, but a color tone we adore as part of a Selvedge denim composition. As such, when we entered the planning phase of creating the "Shinkai Slub" Denim - the Wine Weft was sitting at the top of the menu for our new series.

A through on through OD piece, this denim is destined to be faded thanks to its heavy slub and unique Indigo x Bordeaux composition. Bringing back the High Tapered fit that we produced the entire OG Slub series in, these are a welcome departure from the usual Regular Straight cut we’ve been producing our “Shinkai Slub” series in. Proprietary OD+ hardware completes this piece - including four 22mm "OD" embossed metal buttons, the "Rising Sun" red and blue rayon tab, and a single "+" rivet featured on the fifth coin pocket.
