Pure Blue Japan's Greencast Indigo dyed sweat fabric collection

Pure Blue Japan have been keeping us on our toes with their Slub yarn sweat fabric range dropping a trio of beautiful hues. With the Indigo and Sumi dyed versions leading the charge, we round off this stellar range with their "Greencast Indigo" dyed sweat garments - available as sweatpants, crewneck sweatshirts, hoodies and track jackets.

To achieve this one-of-a-kind hue, the yarns are dyed in a classic indigo color before being combined with a green sulfur dye. Given this unique dye formula, these garments are expected to fade gradually to a lighter hue of blue featuring a tint of green over time.

We're a sucker for details and this collection is certainly not short of a few that pack a punch! The ribbing featured at the collar, cuffs and waistband hem are inspired by vintage athletic garments, with PBJ adding a modern twist by using paneled pit construction to further the ergonomics of the tops. We love the antique brass zipper of the track jacket, and the wooden button opening of the hoodie - further adding to the vintage aesthetic of each garment. Our favorite detail by far though is featured on the sweatpants. Giving a salute to PBJ's Selvedge DNA, the drawstrings feature blue stitching, mimicking the same iconic Selvedge ID used for their jeans.

The Pure Blue Japan Greencast Indigo dyed sweat fabric collection drops on 1/18 @ Midnight (JST)
