Pure Blue Japan's Sumi dyed sweat fabric collection

We’d be rude to keep you waiting for the Sumi (墨) dyed set any longer, and for this round we have a crewneck sweatshirt to accompany the sweatpants, hoodie, and track jacket.

Sumi, traditionally crafted from a blend of pinewood soot, animal glue, and perfume, distinguishes itself from many liquid inks. This unique ink is created by diligently rubbing a solid ink 'stick' against an inkstone with water. When combined with PBJ's proprietary sweat fabric, the resulting lighter earthy hues are a sight to behold - being that they are a welcome departure from some of the darker shades of this dye that we have seen in the past.

The brass zipper featured on the track jacket and wooden buttons on the hoodie compliment the earthy Sumi tone perfectly. These slubby, pile fleece-lined garments exude both warmth and comfort with the tops also featuring a raglan sleeve construction for that well needed ergonomic factor. The ribbed hem and cuffs, along with the elevated neckline on the hoodie, make them ideal for the brisk winter months and beyond!

The Pure Blue Japan Sumi dyed sweat fabric collection drops on 1/17 @ Midnight (JST)
