The latest arrivals from Momotaro, Studio D'Artisan and Fullcount

The recent waves of drops from a few of our favorite brands have certainly been keeping us on our toes, but we are delighted to announce a texture-heavy set of releases for this upcoming Friday.

Coming in fresh from the Peach Boys are this season's range of GTB Sashiko Type II jackets, with the "Ochazome" (Tea-dyed) version leading the charge. Entirely constructed and dyed in Okayama, this Sashiko fabric starts out in a natural hue, which is then garment dyed to achieve the rich Beige/Chino color it retains. Due to the tedious dyeing process, only a very limited production run of these jackets was able to be produced for F/W 2022. Featuring all of the typical bells and whistles of a Type II Jacket, Momotaro have modified this classic piece of Americana with the addition of hand-warmer pockets to swing it straight into the 21st century. Complete with Momotaro's signature Kamon (Peach Crest) metal button opening, along with the eponymous Going to Battle painted white lines, this is one serious package you do not want to miss out on. If that wasn't enough though, each jacket will ship with a pack of homegrown Green Tea from Okayama. Kick your feet up with a cup of this seriously tasty tea while you wear that jacket with pride! Joining its tea-dyed brethren are the Indigo and Sulfur Black-dyed versions of the jacket which have each undergone a tedious dyeing process to hit the heavy hues they exhibit.

November also brings us the long-awaited Sweatshirt season, and what better timing to welcome back Studio D'Artisan's best-selling Loopwheel Crewneck Sweatshirts. Produced on a Tsuri-Ami Ki (or French Circular Knitting machine) to craft a supreme loopwheel fabric that is now only able to be produced in two factories in Wakayama, the heavyweight loopwheel fabric is produced painstakingly slowly and carefully. Developed from scratch by the mad scientists over at SDA, the fabric uses a much thicker yarn count allowing for premium heat retention and insulation.

Finally for this week, we have a fine piece of utilitarian garb landing from the Osaka-based Fullcount camp. Simple, elegant and functional - Fullcount's latest pants come in a modern, slim tapered silhouette. The canvas fabric is also coated in paraffin to fend off any water you might encounter, while also packing plenty of patina potential as the pants are worn in.
