Drawing inspiration from vintage US Navy workwear of the 1940s, Omnigod's 5oz. Selvedge Chambray Work Shirt combines an original chambray fabric with traditional Japanese indigo tie-dyeing techniques, creating a distinctive interpretation of the classic American military shirt.

At the heart of the design is Omnigod's original gingham check chambray, a fabric with a naturally coarse, textured surface that provides an interesting foundation for the indigo dyeing process. Skilled artisans hand-dye each shirt using a traditional shibori method, creating irregular patterns and subtle color variations based on how the fabric is bound. Known as "Murazome", this deliberately uneven approach to dyeing produces subtle shifts between lighter and darker indigo tones, giving each shirt a unique appearance that cannot be replicated through conventional uniform dyeing.
