Tradition and innovation collide with Samurai's latest blended weft denim for 2025. The weft yarns blend cotton with traditional Japanese Washi paper fiber, a material historically used for calligraphy, Shoji screens, and even durable everyday goods thanks to its surprising strength and lightness. Known for its lightweight feel and remarkable absorption and quick-drying properties, the Washi in the blend delivers a natural breathability and a cool, crisp wearing experience.

For the warp, Samurai uses an original indigo yarn made from extra-long staple fibers that offer a subtle sheen and a soft, supple hand reminiscent of silk. With refined texture present in both warp and weft, the resulting denim presents an elevated and refreshing character that separates it from conventional heavyweight fabrics while staying true to Samurai’s dedication to material innovation.
