It’s always a pleasure teaming up with our fam over at Loop & Weft, and seeing the new proprietary double face Classic Royal Rib Knit cotton jersey material for the first time in person at the beginning of this year got us juiced for another OD+. Ryota-san of Loop & Weft runs his one man army of a brand with one clear mission in mind - developing and creating Japan’s “Best Knitwear”.
Featuring an original double-faced knit thermal woven on a rare knitting machine in Wakayama, Japan, the extra thick fabric is woven using high-quality combed yarns. Garment dyed in indigo, piece by piece, the ribbed nature of the fabric yields a variegated range of blue hues on the face of the fabric.
This thermal is crafted from an extra-thick fabric made with high-quality combed yarns, then garment-dyed by hand, giving it a subtle range of indigo hues. The unique rib knitting creates a dense, structured fabric that holds its shape and durability, even after countless wears and washes.
Utilizing a unique tucked sewing method known as "Kanako knit" for the ribbing, the piece seamlessly blends the finest knitting available from Japan's cotton jersey hometown of Wakayama with sewing techniques developed over decades of unwavering dedication to the craft.
