The Peach Boys™ are coming in strong this week with a few fall releases that are built to be mainstays in the closet for years to come!
The new Submarine Sashiko piece features a heavyweight (for Sashi-ori fabric, approximately 14oz.) Indigo dyed Sashiko weave that is equal parts durable and structured to yield a flattering silhouette while maximizing that warmth insulation. Featuring metal snap buttons, asymmetrical pockets & the eponymous battle stripes represented on the left arm, Momotaro’s flame retardant shirt is exactly as it sounds. A bi-blended 57% Cotton / 43% Acrylic fabric leads the party on this piece, with the proprietary composition allowing for the garment to be flame retardant (just don’t hero into a fire with this one, it probably won’t function like a firefighters uniform)!
Finally from Momotaro, we have the fan favorite heavyweight thermal from the brand, this time dropping in Navy.
Studio D’Artisan are also having a big week, specifically for one piece - the yearly Stadium jacket is back by popular demand! Custom produced for OD, we omitted the Sagara (Knotted) embroidery on the back which is featured on SDA’s original version of this piece, and only kept the chest badge with the airplane and accompanying text stating “Grade A quality”. Pebble grain & supple cowhide leather in white make up the arms, while an extra thick melton wool completes the body of this piece. The warmth is already there from these elements, but it’s the insulation that kicks in comfortably with the addition of the diamond stitched rayon liner in black! One of our favorite pieces that we’re delighted to have back again this year in this new color way!
Fall would be incomplete at OD without the annual Brown’s Beach Jacket restock, a brand we’ve held close to our hearts now for almost a decade. Conceptualized back in 1901 in Worcester, MA (for those who don’t know, this is an outskirt of Boston), the special “Beach Cloth” fabric was a proprietary composition of a warm inner wool fleece & a knitted water-resistant cotton face. Fresh for this Fall, we’ve got a new Burgundy color way to add to the mix.
Finally, a piece we cannot recommend enough for those of you living in the most frigid of climates, Fullcount’s Wool CPO shirt is back in a fresh color this season. A navy wool base with naval themed button, the CPO was developed by the US NAVY during WWII as a way of fighting the intense wind and cold weather while at sea.
