The design takes traditional Japanese geometric motifs as its foundation, layering in the intricate woven patterns associated with "Oshima Tsumugi", one of Japan's most celebrated silk weaving traditions, known for its precise, complex geometric compositions developed over centuries in Amami Oshima. Woven into this overall design are hidden elements specific to Samurai Jeans: the "Mitsudomoe", a traditional three-comma swirl motif with deep roots in Japanese mythology and samurai culture, alongside Torii gates, Mount Fuji, and the letter S worked quietly into the pattern for those who look for them. 

The fabric is a cotton-linen blend with a crisp, slightly textured hand that carries a natural coolness, making it a genuinely comfortable summer shirt rather than simply a novelty piece.
