Founded in 1998 by renowned Japanese stylist, photographer, and creative director Takashi Kumagai, GDC (Grand Canyon) has long occupied a unique space within Japan's fashion landscape. Revived in 2025, the label continues to build upon Kumagai's distinctive vision, combining premium materials, functional design, and an appreciation for vintage clothing with a contemporary perspective. Alongside its own original graphics and seasonal collections, GDC has become known for carefully curated collaborations that bring together some of Japan's finest manufacturers and craftspeople.

The Fullcount x GDC Leather Collar Denim Chore Jacket is a collaboration that perfectly reflects this philosophy. Built upon Fullcount's beloved Lot. 2015-1 Denim Chore Jacket, the silhouette receives a number of thoughtful refinements that subtly shift its character. Most immediately noticeable is the textured cowhide leather collar, lending the jacket a more elevated appearance while providing a handsome patina that will age alongside the denim itself. The body is constructed from Fullcount's 9.5oz. slub denim, woven using indigo-dyed warp yarns and black weft yarns to produce a uniquely deep, inky appearance. The traditional chest pocket has been reworked into an internal pocket, resulting in a cleaner exterior while maintaining everyday practicality.

Exclusive hardware further distinguishes the collaboration, with custom buttons engraved with both Fullcount and GDC branding, while tonal black stitching throughout creates a sharper, more understated aesthetic than the original design. Completing the exterior is a discreet embroidered eight-pointed star on the left chest, GDC's signature motif and a subtle hallmark of the partnership.
