Produced on a "Tsuri-ami Ki" (or French Circular Knitting machine) to craft a supreme loopwheel fabric that is now only able to be produced in two factories in Wakayama, Japan. Much like the production time frame on Selvedge denim that is considerably slower than wide denim milled on a projectile loom, this is clearly apparent in the beautiful loopback construction when the hoodie is turned inside out. This particular loophweel fabric is developed from scratch by The Flat Head, with the fabric using a much thicker yarn count allowing for premium heat retention and insulation.
On average, a French Circular Knitting machine can only perform 24 rotations a minute, and yields an average of 1 meter per hour. That means that it took a cool 1.5~2 hours of spinning simply to craft the fabric that went into the production of this hoodie. The combination of the insulation the fabric provides along with the slim construction of this hoodie ensures a snug, comfortable fit with warmth throughout.
The front features a striking cowboy graphic depicting a rider taming a wild horse, executed through a combination of screen print for the base and puff print detailing on the rope and reins, giving the design both depth and motion.
