OD Winter Holidays | We're taking some time off!

From yours truly to the global denim fam, we’d like to wish every one of you a very Merry Christmas! 🎄

2025 proved to be a huge year for us. 14 years almost to the day since our inception, and the pace and fun both keep compounding in tandem. Our showroom in Daikanyama stayed full to the brim with reservations daily, an incredible change of pace for a company like ours that has historically only been online for the majority of our history. Putting faces to names and nerding over Selvedge & Indigo was the best morale boost for our team, and we are grateful for every interaction.

On the brands side of things, we added three names to the brand roster at Okayama Denim this past year! Starting with Aiya Terroir, the farm-to-closet Natural Indigo purveyors specialize in growing, fermenting, and processing their own Natural Indigo in Fukuyama, Hiroshima. Next up, the brand that hit the road running from the jump start, Omoto Denim, was started by someone very close to the OD team, Hiroki Kishimoto, a veteran in the Japanese Selvedge denim space with almost 30 years of experience in developing fabrics for existing brands. Although their impressive growth in the the short time frame that they have been around seems stellar, when you learn the background of the man at the helm, it comes as no surprise that they’ve achieved what they have in less than a year of being active. Finally, we added The Flat Head to the OD camp this year, a brand with an almost 30 year history and expertise in developing some of the most impressive Denim, Indigo & American Casual (“Amekaji”) products on the market.

On the OD+ front, we kept pace as we have in years past, and managed to release 19 original collaboration products with some of the Japanese brands we love and admire. Our team also grew in 2025 as well, with the addition of two new full-time team members added to our Tokyo office, Ria & Reza.

We want to take this moment to share our gratitude for everything in 2025. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays! 🎄💙🎅  In the spirit of embracing the joy of the season, we would like to share some important news about our Winter holiday schedule. From 12/27, to 1/4, 2026, the team will be taking a well-deserved break to recharge and spend quality time with our loved ones.
