Pure Blue Japan | The "OG" Selvedge Jeans

A deviation from the norm for PBJ with their new proprietary "OG" Series Selvedge for S/S 2021.

The latest development by the Slub Masters combines an indigo dyed cotton warp composed of organic cotton.

Under the surface we find a brown dyed weft composed of recycled cotton yarns, dyed in sulphur to give it it's unique brown hue.

As is with almost all of PBJ's offerings, we find zero compromise to the slub factor as a result of the low-tension weave of the fabric. What's more, we can truly appreciate the indigo and brown hues puckering out from the face of this proprietary 14oz. Selvedge fabric.

Complete with all of the usual PBJ bells-and-whistles including their embossed iron hardware, brown pocket bags are an aesthetically pleasing choice for the new OG Jeans.

It's a delight to see more local denim companies following suit in the direction of sustainability, and as we tried to convey with the first release of our ODBJ001 "Bamboo" denim over a year ago, sustainability does not need to compromise texture.
