It's a denim-heavy set of releases here at OD as we start to hunker down for the colder months ahead. With two of our favorite Osaka-based brands making an appearance this week, it's time to get the full picture on what these denim heavyweights have been working on behind the scenes for FW'24.
Kicking things off with Fullcount, we are pleased to announce a fresh take on their iconic 0105 Jeans, which have gone through a period-correct "WWII" treatment. A somewhat bold yet very-well executed take on wartime jeans, the eye-catching uncut stitching construction along with simple hardware detailing are just a few of the unique details that offer a pair of denim that is full of charm. Along with these, Fullcount bring to the table a new beige edition of their "Mother Cotton" sweat fabric collection, and this year's Navy Wool CPO Shirt.
Moving onto Samurai, who are showing no signs of slowing down this season. The sword-wielding brand complete their flannel lineup for the year with their rope-dyed Indigo flannel, that is perfectly complimented by the orange check pattern they have opted for. On the Natural Indigo front, the brand introduce for the first time a Ripstop fabric shirt that has undergone the Kasezome dyeing (skein dyeing) treatment, to deliver Indigo hues that are simply out of this world.
We are also delighted to announce the return of Samurai's 17oz. Left-hand twill denim in a relaxed tapered cut. While left-hand twill denim tends to be more uniform in terms of the fabric face, Samurai have thrown out the rulebook with their "Jin" series, that has absurd texture and slubbiness. Couple that with their flattering Relax Tapered cut, that offers ample room in the rises and thigh - and you have a serious contender for unbeatable fades down the line.
