Drawing inspiration from a 1950s US Army training garment, Soundman's "Arthur" reinterprets the classic military Henley knit as a versatile cotton sweatshirt, retaining its understated utilitarian character while introducing a more contemporary approach to fabric and construction.

While the original military garment was knitted, Soundman has opted for a specially developed French terry fabric made from matured cotton fibres. Using a specialised spinning process, the cotton is given a distinctive fullness and a pleasantly dry hand feel, resulting in a substantial yet comfortable fabric that resists excessive stretching.

One of the fabric's defining characteristics is the way it gradually conforms to the wearer's body with repeated use, developing a more natural fit over time. Combined with the traditional Henley neckline and urea buttons, the result is a straightforward, versatile piece that offers the same ease of styling as a conventional sweatshirt, with a little more character drawn from its military origins.
