This denim represents the essence of selvedge construction, achieved by expertly narrowing the width of the power loom, a feat rarely attempted in Japan. It has set a definitive standard for selvedge denim and reflects the brand's heritage.

For their 45th anniversary, Studio D'Artisan used the original yarn from their first model, the "DO-1". They meticulously narrowed the loom's width to an unprecedented 20cm and 38cm, weaving the narrowest selvedge denim ever created. This achievement signifies an entirely new realm of possibilities for denim, born from tradition and technology.

The unique value of this denim lies in its embodiment of history, skill, and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of what denim can be. Studio D'Artisan's "Triple Selvedge" construction is achieved through using custom-made panels which were originally made for a similar pair of jeans featured in the brand's 20th anniversary collection.
