FDMTL x Danner Indigo Sashiko Boots

September 28, 2018

With a history spanning back to 1932, Danner Boots of Portland, Oregon are a well respected bootmaker in the world of workwear.
For this latest collaboration, the storied footwear brand link up with our friends from FDMTL for a Indigo Sashiko makeover that is simply mind blowing.
The FDMTL Original Indigo Sashiko fabric has been used to grace most of the upper of these work boots, with all the bells & whistles in terms of details that you'd expect from a top quality boot.
The leather pull tabs on either tongue represent the collaboration, with either brand's logo embossed into the navy leather.
Vibram is always a good idea, especially on a heavy duty work boot.
With a near 90 year history in bootmaking, Portland has always been home to Danner's production. And it is mostly still the case, as Portland is still home to the main Danner factory. But in 2012, Danner was purchased by Japanese footwear retailer, ABC Mart, for an undisclosed amount. After the sale of the brand to ABC Mart, certain limited edition and collaboration models began being produced in Japan.
