Japan's "Best Knitwear" | Loop & Weft's Spring/Summer 2021 collection

March 20th saw the drop of our fifth collaboration with Loop & Weft, the Indigo Latch Pile Military Sweatpants. While humbly grateful for everyone that has shown us love for this project, we promise to continue pushing the boundaries of garment dyed clothing, in our ongoing collaboration series with the purveyors of "Best Knitwear" in Japan.

Meticulously constructed using some of the finest cotton jersey fabrics coming from any brand we carry this season, the proprietary “Latch Pile” textile developed by Loop & Weft elevates the loungewear status quo.

For that perfect loungewear combination, the Latch Pile Sweatpants and Track Jacket will be available in both Navy and Olive.

Just like the collaboration model, the sweatpants share the same unique limited “Latch Pile” fabric, as well as the numerous construction details that we have come to expect from L&W.

The two-ply nature of the Latch Pile fabric brings into practice the "best of both worlds" approach to loungewear. 

Taking a 1960s track jacket motif, Loop & Weft have made numerous construction changes to bring a classic piece of loungewear into 2021.

Featuring a dropped back shoulder seam construction, the raglan sleeve design of this piece and adjustments to the width and length of the garment help retain the classic track jacket aesthetics without sacrificing the ergonomics of this piece.

Retaining some clean vintage touches, the collar, cuffs and hem of each jacket have been carefully constructed using a 2-needle seam with a brass Waldes zipper opening.

Setting a new standard for Summertime threads this year, L&W's new Slub Heather Knit Crewneck Tees cuts no corners on the texture front. 

Featuring a soft yet slubby 100% cotton fabric, the unevenness of the heather yarns emphasize the various hues of color seen in each tee.

Constructed under the lens of a 1960s football shirt motif, the design allows for the application of contrasting top and bottom yokes, with two different color heather fabrics.
