Continuing to push the envelope of possibilities when it comes to both elevated fabrics and meticulous vintage steeped construction, the Nara-based brand have flawlessly executed the aesthetic of each variant of thermal. Available as a crewneck, henley and mock neck, Best Knitwear" brand is back with a bang for F/W 2021.

Crafted in one of the aging textile factories in Wakayama, this double face knit fabric requires tedious weaving to ensure the longevity of the fabric over time. The lining is woven with a very fine cord structure to ensure stress-free wear, and to suppress the horizontal stretch of the outer honeycomb structure. Additionally, this particular weave ensures excellent heat-retention while keeping the fabric breathable. The icing on the cake is the beautiful luster it gives to each carefully selected colorway that these thermals are available in.

Taking cues from 1940s thermal motifs, the crewneck version features a vintage inspired ribbed neckline which are constructed one-by-one on a specially calibrated knitting machine before being sewn onto the garment.

One particular feature that deserves praise is the unique back shoulder seam panel which you guessed right, is another vintage cue that Loop & Weft have gone to great lengths to replicate. This construction lends to smooth ergonomic movement and a boost to the overall structural integrity of the shoulder area.

The perfect option for a more casual look, the henley neck thermal features a resin catseye button opening. A Union Special 4-needle flat seamer machine commands all the seam construction, just one of the many detail driven features that Loop & Weft have become known for.

In a similar fashion to the ribbed construction featured at the neckline of this thermal, the vintage inspired cuffs are just as tedious to produce. Not only do these cuffs feature several intricately linked weaves, they are woven at the perfect tension to give a form-fitting factor to the wrist without feeling restrictive.
