With summer in full swing, we welcome in the arrival of the lighter blue hues featured in PBJ's latest "Smokey Blue" Selvedge series. A refreshing uplift from PBJ's usual offerings, the 14oz. fabric comes with all the expected texture and nep as a result of the low-tension weave - with the added twist of the warp yarns undergoing an indigo and sulfur dye process to achieve the unique blue hue for the Slub Masters' summer denim series.
That being said, it wouldn't be a PBJ drop without a barrage of texture and slub - this time epitomized by this week's denim jacket arrival. PBJ's “Double Slub” denim results from a careful selection of slub yarns and the meticulous calibration of vintage shuttle looms based in Okayama. As the name suggests, the Slub Masters have managed to once again stand true to their name and deliver a denim fabric with dizzying levels of texture.
