A 16oz. selvedge built around a warp and weft pairing that produces something genuinely distinct from standard indigo denim. The warp uses natural brown cotton in its unprocessed earthy tone, rope-dyed in deep pure indigo over that brown base. The result is a blue with more warmth and complexity than indigo on white cotton can achieve, and as the denim fades with wear, that brown base begins to show through in the high-abrasion areas, producing a fade character that is particular to brown cotton and impossible to replicate through any other construction. The weft is woven from extra-long staple Suvin cotton, a premium variety known for its exceptional softness and natural lustre, which gives the inner face of the fabric a notably supple hand despite the weight of the denim. Densely woven to the limit of what the construction allows, the fabric carries the presence and structure of a true heavyweight selvedge while remaining more comfortable against the skin than the weight might suggest.
