At 12oz, these shorts wear comfortably through warmer months without sacrificing the fade potential and surface character that come with a properly constructed denim. The deep indigo base throws the white stitchwork into sharp relief, a contrast that runs throughout the construction and gives the piece much of its visual identity.

The pattern has been redrawn from the original baker pant template specifically for this silhouette, tightened and refined to produce a clean taper that sits more considered than a standard workwear half pant. In keeping with that cleaner approach, the sewing thread throughout the body is unified in grey rather than the contrasting white used at the pockets, keeping the overall look streamlined and versatile. The front closes with a button fly using Flat Head's original iron buttons, which are rust-treated and will deepen to a richer, darker tone with wear, adding their own layer of patina to the garment over time.
