TCB pay homage to the classic 1950s era Levis 501 model without cutting any corners. By taking an actual pair of these 501s as reference, the silhouette was hand traced by TCB in order to create the pattern for this model. On top of that, each thread color and count were painstakingly matched by the team before the final production of the jeans.

Milled on vintage shuttle looms carefully calibrated to match the fabric of the 1950s era Levis 501, the 13.5oz. Zimbabwe cotton fabric is made for fading and over time will show beautiful contrast which TCB jeans have become well known for.

Details such as the hand made paper patch, hidden rivets, vintage style pocket bags elevate this otherwise classic pair to new heights.

While I like the jeans- I am overall pretty disappointed in in my shopping experience. I wrote in my order notes that I would like the jeans hemmed at a 31.5 inch length. I even emailed separately to confirm. I got the response "No worries we will ensure the jeans are hemmed to your requested length!" When I received the jeans, they were not hemmed to the requested length. There are only a couple places near me that do chain-stitch hemming, so if I want it done now I have to spend about $40 (shipping + hem) and wait another two weeks to wear them.

The site's measurements were spot-on. I've had some bad experiences with inaccurate measurements with other retailers and I live in an area that's hundreds of miles away from any brick and mortar Japanese denim stockist so it's nice to be able to actually trust the numbers on the screen. This was my first pair of regular straight jeans and they are so comfortable! They're very accommodating to my top block and thighs, which tend to need more room than the more popular slim fits offer. While I own and am fine with crispy jeans, I prefer softer ones; these are nicely soft and I'm looking forward to them getting even softer over time. I can't wait to see how they drape once they're fully broken in.

Couldn’t be happier! I was looking for a true straight leg fit on the rommier side, but not overly baggy. These fit the bill perfectly. Note you’ll likely need to size up one or two sizes. I wear a 31 in Warehouse 1001xx and I got a 33 in these. Perfect size choice. I also chose to have these hemmed by Okayama. They did an AMAZING job! I’d highly recommend it if you feel like you can guess your inseam right. I went with a 31 inseam.

My partner wanted a pair of raw denim for her birthday, so I took the measurements of her favorite pair of jeans and began searching the internet for something similar and 100% cotton. I stumbled upon the TCB 50s which had almost identical measurements as her vintage levis 501 (surprise!). Great denim and awesome service from OD. OD was able to accommodate my hemming and hawing (pun-intended) on hem length and I really liked that OD emailed me with the actual measurements of the jeans after they took them off the shelf and before they hemmed them. That was a nice touch as it's always a risk buying raw denim online (rinsed, washed, sanforized, or otherwise). Also, appreciated the fast shipping to the US by DHL. I always like when retailers use DHL.

The TCB jeans are my first pair of selvedge denim pants. They fit much like the 501s I used to wear in high school. I ordered a 34 waist and fit similar to a 32 waist in a carharrt Jean and Okayama hemmed them to 32 inseam. The hem was perfect as I can either wear them down or cuff once. The denim is much softer than I anticipated but has a lot of character which I like. Really pleased with the fit and quality and with Okayama service. -Anthony
