Outfit of the Day in June

June 10, 2015

We skipped a couple months in between, we know. Our sincere apologies, we will make sure to keep this beloved feature steady month on month! This month, we bring the latest Outfit of the Day by Okayama Denim in June. Favorites all around, where to begin? Let's start with the core, jeans by Japan Blue, the JB0412-ML. A solid pair that work well with most footwear, but our strongest preference for this leg opening is with a sharp looking boot, in this case Viberg delivers in only the best stitch down construction kind of way. Holding those jeans up, are the uber affordable sub-$100, Natural Cowhide leather belt by the Japan Blue crew.
The outfit though, really revolves around one central piece. The Deep Indigo Selvedge Western shirt is back in a full stock size run, and we couldn't be more excited. One of those shop favorites, this shirt looks amazing whether paired with a pair of Indigo jeans, or some rusty tobacco colored chinos. The lighter weight denim applied to this shirt is ideal for a year-around piece to beat up.
That hat though, we know. Homero Ortega, renowned Panama Hat maker from Ecuador has been producing hand made straw hats since 1899. A recent trip to South America allowed us to get our hands on this beauty. The rest of the outfit comes together with accessories, like the Il Bisonte Natural Bison leather card holder that is showing some gorgeous patina, sunglasses by Oliver Peoples (proudly Made in Japan, of course), glass bead necklace by Aki, and a clay beads bracelet produced in Bizen, Okayama. The Momotaro Denim Pocket Pouch is seen here used as an efficient change pouch (a necessity if you have ever visited Japan).
