After years of carrying one of our favorite brands (and an original Osaka 5 player), we finally got to brainstorm with the fine folks at SDA to piece together our latest collab! Working on collaborations like this really allow us to hone that creative spirit, and bring our wildest ideas to reality.
The OD + SDA "Craftsman" Collection is a combination of a few of our favorite details. From the coveted 'G3' Selvedge produced on Japan's first shuttle loom (you can read more about that
here), the
Natural Indigo Kasezome Sashiko fabric which we employed as the pocket bags and to line the back pockets, and of course the curveball option for Pony Hair Waistband Leather patches.
The 'G3' fabric features a subtle gray weft and a classic pink line selvedge ID.
The dark brown Pony Hair patches have been paired with tonal navy back pocket arcuates, completing the look the toned down
Version 1.
Simple and straightforward, featuring our collaboration '+'.
We had each corner of the waistband patch to be finished with a 'Z' stitch by the good people at the SDA factory.
Version 2 features the beige Pony Hair patch, paired with a bolder Red & Navy back pocket arcuates to complete a varying aesthetic from Ver. 1.
The money shot, was a moment seeing our favorite fabric on pocket bags for the first time!
A single belt loop on the back left side of the both versions feature a nonchalant salute to the OD logo's colors, Red, White & Blue.
The button fly features SDA's orginal black hardware.
SDA original Brass rivets make their appearance along with the detail you know SDA's going to do right - raised belt loops!
The button fly construction prominently features the 'G3' denim's pink selvedge ID.
