A tad late with this post, but better late than never!? So for most of you reading this, you are experiencing the same summer heat in your respective country that we are going through in Japan. It is hot, humid, and not really ideal weather for some 14oz denim jeans at all. Hence, this month we decided to mix it up a little bit with some easy, breezy summer time wear.
Starting with main pieces, we have the Peach Camo Shorts by Momotaro - a nod to their iconic Peach logo. Not too short or tight fitting or baggy for that matter, these shorts are essentially ideal for an easy summer day in the city or a lounge session poolside. Pairing these shorts with a new product we recently added, the Pure Blue Japan Indigo Border Tee, worked out well for that summer look. Really cool point about this T-shirt are the small leather patches reinforced by brass flathead rivets on the chest pocket.
The durable and extra thick leather belt, coming by way of Tanner Goods is a rare Made in the U.S.A. product we thought we might throw into the mix of all the Made in Japan products. The shoes are a Japan-exclusive pair of Converse All Star low tops, while the socks are by our favorite Made in Japan sock purveyor - Tabio. The easy to carry wallet we have been using this summer is the Peach Crest Denim Pocket Pouch by Momotaro. The unique handmade bracelet from our friends at Saio in Kojima is something - they used the belt loop material from jeans to braid a thick snap bracelet especially for us! The necklace is becoming a standard for our OOTD - Made in Japan of glass beads from Hiroshima and leather from Tochigi, this is one of our favorite pieces to wear out in the summer time. Finally, some bootleg shades from Chinatown NYC helps complete our favorite outfit in July.
