Special editions and limited models have become part and parcel of the industry over the past few years, and the commemoration of the Chinese zodiac has become a mainstay for many brands. Momotaro follow suit with the release of their Year of the Rabbit jeans, featuring a 13oz. Organic Selvedge denim.
Next year being the Year of the Rabbit, Momotaro pay homage to our furry friends with the release of the latest limited edition pair. Complete with a horsehide waistband leather patch, a laser printed pattern of a rabbit popping out of the peach insignia in the fifth coin pocket, and battle stripes to support the rabbit theme.
Opting for the use of a proprietary 13oz. Organic cotton denim for the production of this pair, the cotton used in the production is free from chemical fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, or other pesticides for at least three years. It must also be grown on farmland approved by a certifying organization and in accordance with strict standards, and it is also subject to traceability. All these requirements are necessary before the cotton yarn goes through the steps of becoming a fabric, such as spinning, weaving, dyeing, sewing.
The jeans are cut in the fan favorite Narrow Tapered silhouette (same as 0105sp), and each piece ships with a 2023 Momotaro denim calendar.
