The ODJB002P "Sapphire Slub" Selvedge Jacket

One of our classic collabs with the JB crew just got a facelift! Bringing back the 18oz. "Sapphire Slub" Jacket was always on our radar (thanks to all the requests!), but we thought it was time we make a few adjustments for 2021.

First and foremost, we decided on switching up the silhouette. While the original ODJB002 is cut in a classic Type II jacket silhouette, we opted on producing the new version in a Type III silhouette.

On top of this, a significant modification we made is the addition of hand-warmer pockets giving the jacket that well needed layer of functionality.

Featuring a Sashiko "Asanoha" pocket bag, we wanted the fabric details to match the classic, ODJB001.

The "Asanoha" Sashiko fabric on all the Sapphire collaboration items has cemented itself as a key factor in the identity of the capsule collection over the years. Taking the pocket flap liner of the original jacket and adding it as the pocket lining for our latest jacket was an opportunity we could not sleep on.

The return of the brown heavyweight Tochigi cowhide leather patch, a change that we made to the ODJB002, when we re-issued the jacket two years ago.

Solidly constructed and featuring JB's embossed brass hardware, we are stoked that after a two-year hiatus we are able to bring back a true heavyweight in the OD+ lineup back to our shelves.
