My first selvage denim shirt and what I got was something I will own and wear for at least the next 20 years. I ordered a large and the fit is perfect. I am 5’10” and 170 and the shoulders and arms are perfect with some room in the body. The denim is quite stiff compared to the jeans that I ordered. I like the thought that the denim will be softening with every wear much like a pair of boots. Quality seems impeccable and service from Okayama was terrific.

This is the first Studio D'Artisan item of clothing I have brought and wouldn't be the last - its a great shirt with a good denim weight and has a good fit and shape . Looking forward to much wear and then seeing some lovely fades coming through. Fast service from Okayama to get it to me .

In my opinion this is a shirt that would be in every denim enthusiast wardrobe and for the price point of 160$ hard to say no to. This is my first garment from Studio D’artisan and I am very impressed. The fabric is very hairy in appearance and ridged in feel it’s like wearing a pair of jeans on your arms. I’ve worn it for a week straight now, the combs are set and you can see the indigo is starting to slightly shed. The cut is good I could have done with a XL but the cut is a perfect fit on me but a quarter of an inch more in the body and shoulders would be 10/10. I only have a Quarrel with this shirt 1.i feel they should have chosen better buttons these black plastic buttons feel and looks cheap also after a few times of buttoning and unbuttoning feels very loose but can say the thread holding the buttons in place feels strong. Snap or metal donut buttons would have been better. 1-a. I feel given the type of buttons they are it should have came with extra buttons for replacements. 2. I’m not a fan of how the fabric rolls up I think if they would have given a few more centimeters in the bottom stitching it would lay flat giving it a better look. Overall this is an amazing shirt and I do highly recommend it. The cons aren’t serious enough to say I regret my purchase just little things that would make it a 10/10 rather then a 9/10. Outstanding quality and super heavy. Very hairy. The stitching looks top notch. The sleeves are a tad bit narrow in the elbow area but I'm expecting them to stretch a bit.
