Designed and built to be worn year-round, Omnigod's flagship 14oz. Type 1 Selvedge Jacket is designed around a simple idea: a denim jacket you want to wear, season after season. Inspired by 1950s vintage denim, the fabric is woven on vintage-style shuttle looms using uneven, greenish-toned indigo yarns to create a distinctly rugged texture and an authentic old-fashioned look.

The 14oz. Selvedge denim is finished with a one-wash treatment and is designed to reveal clean, pronounced vertical fading as it is worn. The indigo will gradually develop contrast and depth, with the uneven yarn contributing to the characteristic streaking associated with vintage denim.

The silhouette has been subtly adjusted from the traditional Type 1 pattern, offering a little more room through the body and a slightly longer length than many vintage reproductions. This makes the jacket easy to wear as an everyday layer, with enough freedom of movement for a relaxed, natural fit without losing the recognisable proportions of the original.

Omnigod's attention to construction is especially evident in the stitching. Core-spun thread is used throughout, with thread colors and weights varied according to each section of the garment to create a more dimensional appearance and encourage nuanced contrast as the jacket ages. Each piece is sewn and quality-controlled at Omnigod's own factory, bringing together the brand's considerable expertise in denim production and a thoughtful approach to how the garment will develop over time.
