At the heart of Omoto is the denim which has been milled on vintage Sakamoto looms from the 1950s. The fabric is comprised of a bi-blend of 27.8mm Memphis and Zimbabwean cotton, an amalgamation of toughness and softness. The resulting denim bursts with texture and has a crisp hand feel. Overdyed in Sumi (charcoal), the pigment is coated over the denim rather than dip-dyed, and a processing treatment is then applied to subtly fade the surface.
