Studio D'Artisan Kakishibu Dyed Heavyweight Check Flannel Shirt

This is not going to be a winter ready flannel to be clear, this fabric is heavyweight but not in the IronHeart style and it is not brushed on the interior so it will not be as warm as brushed twill flannels. BUT, this fabric is clearly very durable and will wear and fade and become worn in the best ways possible. I expect that a year after owning it it will be one of my most comfortable flannels while not being the warmest it will likely last longer than similar models by Momotaro(love my flannel from them) because it is such a hardy fabric. If you are looking for that five year plus flannel this is a great option to go with. The color works well, but I wish had more orange to it, overall the persimmon dye is an attractive and interesting brownish orange color and will look good with almost anything. Ultimately I think this shirt is an expensive but great buy. My experiences with flannel are IronHeart, Momotaro and Imogene + Willie(not recommended IMO).

The purchase experience was seamless, even over the Christmas / New Years holidays. I would purchase from Okayama Denim again. Their online retail platform is very well set-up. The shirt is great, heavy weight and I luv the artisanal dyeing technique. The shirts appear to run a little small, so make sure that you check the specific shirt measurements for a good fit.
