ODSJ001 "Legacy" Selvedge Jeans | An OD + Samurai Collab

The ODSJ001 "Legacy" jeans takes cues from a variety of Samurai jeans styles from over their 20+ year history, and couples it with our Comfort Tapered cut. Never taking feedback lightly, we heard your thoughts on the silhouette and slightly tuned up sizing for this latest run to give it a roomier fit & feel.

The Comfort Tapered is a new take on Samurai's classic cuts. The top block is fairly relaxed with the longer front and back rises and wider upper thighs, with the taper beginning from the middle thigh. The taper continues down through the calves and to the narrow leg opening for a flattering silhouette.

Amongst other details, we created the original flasher and back leather patch to commemorate this special limited collaboration. Furthermore, the belt loops feature white stitching on the outside, and red stitching on the inner waistband, celebrating the colors of Okayama Denim.

The fabric is the classic 15oz. Unsanforized Selvedge denim first popularized by the S0511xx jeans by Samurai!

Picking out all the details to include in this collab was obviously fun, but creating the original imagery may have very well been the highlight of this adventure!

The pocket bags borrow the the same Indigo Dyed Kasuri fabric originally used on a S/S Shirt release from Summer '17! Looking closer into the image, you will see the Selvedge button fly construction as well!

The button fly features a different button for each of the five buttons on the button fly, paying homage to a variety of different Samurai pairs from over the years!

The Sakura inspired flat rivets, originally only used for the "Yamato" model jeans, have been used here for this collaboration.

Selvedge lined back pockets are paired with Samurai original Jacquard fabric, applied as the liner for the rear pockets.

And the coveted upside down 'A' in Samurai used exclusively for limited edition models.

Seen here after a few wears, one of our favorite details that we include on this release, hidden arcuates sewn into the back pockets, that will only distinctly appear after extended wear.

After an almost 2 year hiatus since the first release, the Legacy's are restocking on June 18th @ Midnight (JST)
