Looking for a true heavyweight Black x Black pair with serious slub? So were we, and there was nothing out there on the market that we loved. So we made them!

The latest in the ongoing OD+JB collaboration series clocks in at the same previously released 18oz. heavy slub proprietary Selvedge denim that we produced for the Sapphire, Midnight & Snow Slub releases. Opting for a Black x Black Warp & Weft combination this time around, our previous "Blackout" jeans shared the same denim as the 14oz. Selvedge featured on the JB0716 standard offering. The jeans are cut in the fan favorite Hi-Tapered, a fit featuring a lengthier front & back rise, wider thighs and a taper that begins at the knee and works its way down to a narrow leg opening.

The plan was to always bring to market a highly textured Black x Black Selvedge. The Black Warp thread was never the issue, finding the right weft for production to maintain that same variegated heavy slub featured on previous releases like the Sapphire's and JB0626 was where we were having trouble. Collect was finally able to source an inconsistent weft yarn that would yield the same texture as previous OD+JB collabs.

Subtle additions make all the difference - so we went monotone all the way. Down to the waistband leather patch and of course the stand out detail of this pair, the perfect pocket bags. Featuring a 10oz. Black Selvedge Chambray, the pocket bags is the detail that you don't have to show off, but rather cherish for yourself!
