Master of luggage craft | Master-piece Drop 2

August 17, 2021

Master-piece have long established themselves at the forefront of the Japanese fashion realm as technically-minded folk when it comes to elevating luggage items and accessories. Each individual piece is created with the finest materials, second-to-none construction and exceptional portability in mind. Watching the brand from a far, season after season, improving the product has been a treat. Finally having them join our ranks is a dream! Following our initial release of the brand, we are stoked to announce some fresh arrivals to add to the lineup.
Dropping in a trio of colorways, Master-piece's "Progress" 13-inch laptop cases blend Japanese design sensibility with premium materials and meticulous construction.
The 100d Nylon Twill fabric base is coated with PVC to ante-up the resilience and water-resistance of the case. These proprietary fabric developments happen every season in order to constantly improve the product. As an added bonus, the coating also gives the body a wonderful sheen.
The perfect pairing to the nylon body fabric, two oiled cowhide leather tabs are featured on the top and bottom of each case.
The mesh-lined laptop compartment in tandem with the water-resistant body will keep that hardware safe.
Plenty of storage options to go around, with separate pockets featured in the inner compartment to keep all your valuables and stationary well organized.
The front opening of the case features YKK's heavy duty zipper paired with a waterproof Aquaguard zipper opening.
Whether you're on the way to your next meeting or college lecture, Master-piece's "Progress" laptop case is made to suit all walks of life.
Also joining the fresh stitches this week, Master-piece's "Notch" wallets come equipped with all the necessary bells and whistles for the modern user, with some of the finest leather to boot.
The steerhide leather used for the main body of the wallet is sourced from the only tannery in Japan that has obtained LWG (Leather Working Group) certification. Only a few tanneries qualify for this certification and must uphold the highest standards when it comes to environmental compliance and the traceability of the leathers that they use.
In order to achieve the extremely refined finish of the leather body, the chrome-tanned steer hide is coated with a special layer of chemicals to prevent scratching and staining. Once the spacial color coating has been applied, the surface is stamped with a kip-like pattern to give it a well-grained finish.
Kip leather is used for the interior of the wallet. This material is perfect given its flexibility and is also thinner than steerhide, leaving ample wiggle-room to add the plethora of card slots and keep the overall aesthetic clean. A special resin coating is applied to elevate the scratch resistance as well as provide a beautiful gloss finish.
Master-piece flex their technological prowess by adding a separate coin compartment with a finely constructed bendable mouth opening.

The new Master-piece items drop on 8/18 @ Midnight (JST)
