First, dealing with Okayama Denim was very positive. Great price, fast shipping and quick replies.
Second, I can only blame myself for this, but I didn't research the precise fit of the SD-108s well enough (and I used to work at Rivet and Hide in London and tried on plenty in my time). I take a 34 in every pair of jeans I have, which are mostly PBJ and The Flat Head, and the fit is always good. But the top block in the SD-108s is *very* constrained by comparison and does not leave much/any room for your guts or the fam jewels. On the plus side, the denim seems too relax and give pretty fast so time will tell. At first, I simply could not do them up at all, but after some pulling and stretching I can get in (and stay in) them. Time will tell.

Big Thanks Okayama Denim for excellent service of free hemming and delivery !!! Size 32 raw (not washed). The material is deep blue with a black tint, and is stiff as thick paper. The inseam shrinks as expected by 2,3 inches. The front rise has decreased by 0.5 inches. The rear rise has not changed. The thighs and hip have decreased by 0.5 inches. The knee and leg opening are reduced by 0.25 inches. Since the belt was already 16,75-17 inches before soaking, during drying with the button fastened, I inserted a wooden bar 17 inches lenght and did not allow the waist to shrink. The soak was in warm water for one hour. At the same time, I did not notice a significant release of paint or yellowness from chemicals. The material is firmly dyed and initially very clean. As a result, after drying, it turned out: W-17; FR-10,5; BR-15; UT-12; Hip-21; Knee-8,5; LO-6,75 inches.The material became really hard like cardboard with an inherent crunch. Great effect for anyone who loved bulletproof denim.

The best pair of selvedge denim anywhere. The relaxed taper fit is ideal as it balances the rise and width of the top block with the taper. The 15oz weight is dense, crisp and has the perfect feel. Suggest sizing up as they overall shrink more than you would expect.

The craftsmanship on the pair is excellent. It's a fantastic weight, and the visible texture details seems to come alive with more wear. They soften up quickly and have a relatively smooth hand feel. My only gripe is the fit and lack of consistency with the thigh measurement listed for the item. The thigh measurement on my one-wash pair was about 0.8cm off. I sure could use that extra 1.6cm in the thighs for a "Lifter's Cut". It's not much, but it's enough to make a difference for someone who's borderline- so keep that in consideration when purchasing.

These are the real deal. They are incredibly rugged yet so so soft to the touch. They are my new favorite pair. I simply can't get enough of them. They remind me of iron hearts 14 oz denim which is awesome but in an amazing cut.
Seriously I'd pull the trigger on these. You'll be glad you did.

This is an excellent garment; I was delighted by the build quality, the colour, and the finishing touches. I was initially concerned I had bought too small (this is my first pair of selvedge), but was totally reassured by some pleasant exchanges with OD staff. I'm thrilled by how well the jeans are already breaking in.
